Les prochaines puces Lakefield d\u2019Intel pour ordinateurs portables utilisent une architecture de type big.LITTLE. Ce design hybride s\u2019appuie sur quatre petits c\u0153urs Tremont \u00e0 faible consommation et un c\u0153ur haute performance Sunny Cove, pour de 10 \u00e0 80 % de performance en plus en basse conso. Selon de r\u00e9centes informations, Intel envisagerait de d\u00e9ployer ce type d\u2019architecture pour les processeurs des PC fixes\u00a0!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le c\u00e9l\u00e8bre momomo_us<\/a> nous apprend que cela concernerait la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration Alder Lake-S<\/a>, grav\u00e9e en 10 nm. Dans ce cas de figure, il serait question de processeurs montant jusqu\u2019\u00e0 8+8 c\u0153urs (Golden Cove et Gracemont), pour des TDP compris entre 80 W et 125 W, voire 150 W. La source mentionne \u00e9galement un nouveau socket, le LGA1700. Pr\u00e9cisons que la gamme Alder Lake-S doit succ\u00e9der \u00e0 la s\u00e9rie Rocket Lake-S, qui succ\u00e8de elle-m\u00eame \u00e0 Comet Lake-S. Les processeurs Rocket Lake-S pourraient d\u2019ailleurs prendre en charge le PCIe 4.0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ces donn\u00e9es sont \u00e0 prendre avec des pincettes. Toutefois, \u00e9tant donn\u00e9 les difficult\u00e9s que rencontre Intel pour le 10 nm et son manque d’optimisme<\/a> pour l’architecture dite monolithique, il est tout \u00e0 fait plausible que la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 finisse pas d\u00e9ployer son architecture de type big.LITTLE, initialement r\u00e9serv\u00e9e aux plateformes mobiles, sur les plateformes fixes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
