Dans l\u2019\u00e9mission MSI Insider, Eric Van Beurden et Michiel Berkhout, responsables techniques au sein de l\u2019entreprise, ont divulgu\u00e9 des informations int\u00e9ressantes sur la s\u00e9lection des processeurs Comet Lake-S<\/a>. Un tri \u00e9galement connu sous le nom de “CPU binning”. Les mod\u00e8les \u00e9tudi\u00e9s sont les Core i5-10600K\/KF, i7-10700K\/KF et i9-10900K\/KF, les six mod\u00e8les d\u00e9verrouill\u00e9s de la gamme. Pour ces puces, Intel sp\u00e9cifie la marge d\u2019overclocking escompt\u00e9e. Cela permet aux fabricants de cartes m\u00e8res d\u2019\u00e9laborer des produits en ad\u00e9quation avec les exigences de ces processeurs. MSI proc\u00e8de \u00e0 un tri des puces re\u00e7ues dans trois cat\u00e9gories : A, B et C. La cat\u00e9gorie A rassemble les processeurs qui overclockent au-del\u00e0 des sp\u00e9cifications d’Intel, la B, les processeurs qui overclockent aux sp\u00e9cifications d’Intel et enfin la C, ceux qui n\u2019atteignent pas les sp\u00e9cifications d’Intel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or, seulement 2 % des Core i5-10600K\/KF et 5 % des Core i7-10700K\/KF se classent dans la cat\u00e9gorie A. En revanche, 27 % des Core i9-10900K\/KF y parviennent. En outre, 35 % des Core i9-10900K\/KF atterrissent dans la cat\u00e9gorie B, contre 52 % des Core i5-10600K\/KF et 58 % des i7-10700K\/KF. L\u00e0 o\u00f9 les choses se g\u00e2tent, c\u2019est bien s\u00fbr dans la cat\u00e9gorie C. Pour les Core i5-10600K\/KF, 31% des exemplaires tombent dans cette cat\u00e9gorie. Le pourcentage est de 32 % pour les Core i7-10700K\/KF. Enfin, “seulement” 27 % des Core i9-10900K\/KF finissent en cat\u00e9gorie C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Autant dire qu\u2019\u00e0 la roulette du silicium, si vous souhaitez mettre toutes les chances de votre c\u00f4t\u00e9 pour tomber sur le processeur d\u2019exception, mieux vaut miser sur un Core i9. Vous avez en effet nettement plus de chances d\u2019obtenir une puce de cat\u00e9gorie A ou B avec un Core i9-10900K\/KF qu\u2019avec un Core i5 ou Core i7. Bon, logiquement, les Core i9 sont aussi plus chers\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
