Pour les d\u00e9tenteurs de PC portables qui souhaiteraient booster les performances graphiques de leur machine, la m\u00e9thode la plus acad\u00e9mique est d\u2019opter pour un eGPU, un GPU externe reli\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019ordinateur via un port Thunderbolt. Cependant, d\u2019autres m\u00e9thodes existent ; par exemple, connecter directement une carte graphique d\u00e9di\u00e9e \u00e0 un port M.2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les cobayes sont un PC portable Xiaoxin Air 14 muni d\u2019un Ryzen 5 4600U et une carte graphique NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090<\/a>. Le protocole consiste \u00e0 connecter la carte graphique sur le port NVMe M.2 (en PCIe 3.0 x4) \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019un adaptateur. Le GPU puise son \u00e9nergie d\u2019une alimentation externe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Malgr\u00e9 une bande passante r\u00e9duite<\/a> (4 Go\/s contre 16 Go\/s pour du PCIe 3.0 x16 et 32 Go\/s pour du PCIe 4.0 x16), l\u2019assemblage fonctionne correctement. Le syst\u00e8me r\u00e9alise 14 008 points sur 3DMark TimeSpy. Pour la comparaison, un combo Ryzen 5 3600 \/ RTX 3090 marque 15 552 points ; un Ryzen 7 5800X \/ RTX 3090, 17 935 points. Le r\u00e9sultat obtenu par cette machine bricol\u00e9e est donc plut\u00f4t coh\u00e9rent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
