Intel a siffl\u00e9 le coup d’envoi du Computex 2021 avec plusieurs annonces. La firme a ajout\u00e9 deux puces \u00e0 sa gamme Tiger Lake-U<\/a>, dont un Core i7 avec une fr\u00e9quence Boost de 5 GHz, une premi\u00e8re pour les ultrabooks ; pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 bri\u00e8vement ses futurs NUC Beast Canyon, les “premiers NUC \u00e0 prendre en charge une carte graphique pleine longueur”<\/em> ; d\u00e9voil\u00e9 son Intel 5G Solution 5000, un modem 5G d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 en partenariat avec MediaTek et Fibocom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commen\u00e7ons avec les nouvelles puces UP3 Tiger Lake-U, les Core i7-1195G7 et Core i5-1155G7. Ce sont deux 4 c\u0153urs \/ 8 threads avec des TDP configurables entre 12 et 28 W. Le Core i7 embarque plus de c\u0153urs graphiques (96 contre 80 pour le Core i5) et s\u2019av\u00e8re un peu plus v\u00e9loce : jusqu\u2019\u00e0 5 GHz sur un c\u0153ur, tandis que la fr\u00e9quence maximale sur l’ensemble de ses c\u0153urs s\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ve \u00e0 4,6 GHz. Ces processeurs s\u2019arment toujours de c\u0153urs Willow Cove grav\u00e9s en SuperFin 10 nm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Intel partage plusieurs diapositives mettant en avant les performances de son Core i7-1195G7 face \u00e0 au Ryzen 7 5800U d\u2019AMD (8 c\u0153urs \/ 16 threads). Rien pour le Core i5 en revanche. Comme toujours, prenez ces benchmarks promotionnels avec prudence, les protocoles de test n\u2019\u00e9tant pas toujours \u00e9quitables. Dans les jeux, Intel promeut la fonctionnalit\u00e9 Sampler Feedback DirectX 12 Ultime, pour l\u2019instant uniquement prise en charge par l\u2019architecture graphique Xe (pas par Vega, donc). Quant aux benchmarks applicatifs, la soci\u00e9t\u00e9, comme \u00e0 son habitude depuis quelques mois, insiste sur les benchmarks AVX-512 VNNI susceptibles de tirer parti de l’acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration de l’IA et de l’inf\u00e9rence (DL Boost<\/a>). Or, hormis pour la technologie Quick Sync Video, ceux-ci ne sont pas forc\u00e9ment tr\u00e8s repr\u00e9sentatifs des charges de travail qu’imposent la majorit\u00e9 des logiciels de productivit\u00e9 actuellement utilis\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NUC Beast Canyon<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Intel a bri\u00e8vement pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 ses prochains NUC 11 Extreme baptis\u00e9s Beast Canyon. Comme l’indique l’unique diapositive, ces machines s\u2019armeront d\u2019un processeur Tiger Lake-H (Core i5, i7 ou i9)<\/a> et seront capables d\u2019accueillir une carte graphique pleine longueur ; en pratique, il serait question d\u2019une carte graphique longue de 12 pouces, soit 30 cm approximativement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Intel 5G Solution 5000<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Si Intel a renonc\u00e9 \u00e0 concevoir des modems 5G pour les smartphones en 2019, la firme n\u2019avait pas abandonn\u00e9 la 5G pour les ordinateurs et le secteur de l\u2019IoT. En t\u00e9moigne cet Intel 5G Solution 5000, un modem \u00e9labor\u00e9 avec MediaTek et fabriqu\u00e9 par Fibocom. Cette solution est compatible avec la plateforme Tiger Lake actuelle et le sera \u00e9galement avec la future plateforme Alder Lake. Elle mesure 30 x 52 x 2,3 mm et utilise une interface PCIe 3.0. Elle se limite aux fr\u00e9quences Sub 6 GHz et sera commercialis\u00e9e d\u00e8s cette ann\u00e9e via trois partenaires OEM (Acer, ASUS et HP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
