Le fabricant chinois Asgard a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 son premier SSD PCIe 4.0, l’AN4. Ce mod\u00e8le embarque de la m\u00e9moire NAND TLC 3D \u00e0 128 couches fabriqu\u00e9e par YMTC (Yangtze Memory Technologies Co., Ltd<\/em>) associ\u00e9e \u00e0 un contr\u00f4leur IG5236 Rainier d’Innogrit. Il est affubl\u00e9 d\u2019un dissipateur thermique d\u2019une surface de 8 cm2. Selon Asgard, l’AN4 d\u00e9livre des vitesses de lecture et d’\u00e9criture s\u00e9quentielles de 7 500 Mo\/s et de 5 500 Mo\/s respectivement. Il jouit d\u2019une endurance TBW “\u00e9lev\u00e9e” bien qu\u2019aucune valeur ne soit pr\u00e9cis\u00e9e. Asgard proposera d\u2019abord un mod\u00e8le de 1 To en ao\u00fbt prochain. Des capacit\u00e9s de 2 To et 512 Go arriveront plus tard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La m\u00e9moire NAND d’YMTC est \u00e9labor\u00e9e gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la technologie Xtacking 2.0. Ce proc\u00e9d\u00e9 de fabrication a la particularit\u00e9 de se d\u00e9rouler en deux \u00e9tapes : les cellules NAND et les interconnexions sont fabriqu\u00e9es sur deux wafers distincts, lesquels sont ensuite fusionn\u00e9s via un syst\u00e8me optique. Selon des r\u00e9sultats communiqu\u00e9s par un utilisateur du forum Bilibili, cette m\u00e9moire rivalise avec celle \u00e0 96 couches de Kioxia (anciennement Toshiba) et celle \u00e0 176 couches de Micron<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Une grosse batterie de tests<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

L’utilisateur a mis \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9preuve le SSD AN4 de 1 To sur toute une batterie de tests, dont certains tr\u00e8s exigeants (jusqu\u2019\u00e0 23 To \u00e9crits et plus de dix heures pour le test PC Drive Performance Consistency Test de PCMark 10 notamment). Les r\u00e9sultats sont rapport\u00e9s dans les tableaux ci-dessous. Pr\u00e9cisons que l\u2019AN4 prend en charge jusqu\u2019\u00e0 512 octets de MPS (maximum payload size<\/em>) sous r\u00e9serve d\u2019avoir une carte m\u00e8re compatible. \u00c0 savoir un mod\u00e8le AMD, les r\u00e9f\u00e9rences Intel, y compris celles sur chipset Z590, \u00e9tant limit\u00e9es \u00e0 256 octets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
