Depuis la pr\u00e9sentation des Radeon RX 7900 XT\/XTX<\/a> d\u00e9but novembre, AMD d\u00e9taille un peu plus ses GPU RDNA 3 au fil des jours. Hier, la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 a notamment tent\u00e9 de prouver que ses cartes graphiques Radeon RX 7000 officialis\u00e9es sont sup\u00e9rieures aux GeForce RTX 4000<\/a>. D\u2019autres documents, plus confidentiels, publi\u00e9s par le m\u00e9dia japonais ASCII mais rapidement retir\u00e9s, mettent en avant certaines sp\u00e9cificit\u00e9s du GPU Navi 31, \u00e0 savoir sa conception \u00e0 base de chiplets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comme nous l\u2019expliquons dans notre dossier, ce GPU, et probablement Navi 32, introduit une conception MCM (Multi-Chip-Module<\/em>) sur le segment grand public : un design avec plusieurs chiplets interconnect\u00e9s dans un m\u00eame GPU. Cette conception se mat\u00e9rialise par la pr\u00e9sence d\u2019un GCD (Graphics Complex Die<\/em>) grav\u00e9 en 5 nm par TSMC et de MCD (Memory Complex Die<\/em>) grav\u00e9s en 6 nm. La technologie d\u2019interconnexion utilis\u00e9e pour relier ces composants, appel\u00e9e Infinity Links, fonctionne \u00e0 9,2 Gbit\/s, soit une bande passante environ 10 fois sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 celle de l\u2019IFOP (Infinity Fabric On-Package<\/em>) des processeurs Ryzen et des EPYC. Concr\u00e8tement, la bande passante maximale entre les MCD et les GCD est de 5,3 To\/s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AMD \u00e9tend son programme Advantage aux PC fixes et enrichit son \u00e9cosyst\u00e8me \u2018Smart\u2019<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

RDNA 3 : une efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique am\u00e9lior\u00e9e de 53 % selon AMD<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Afin de r\u00e9duire la latence, l\u2019architecture RDNA 3 permet une augmentation des fr\u00e9quences. L\u2019une des diapositives renseigne une hausse de 43 % de la fr\u00e9quence de l\u2019Infinity Fabric. Enfin, les optimisations apport\u00e9es par cette architecture conf\u00e8rent aux Radeon RX 7000 une efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique jusqu\u2019\u00e0 53 % sup\u00e9rieure aux cartes graphiques RDNA 2 d’apr\u00e8s AMD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
