Les processeurs Raptor Lake non-K<\/a> ne seront pas overclockables. Cette phrase peut surprendre, puisque c\u2019est la position officielle d\u2019Intel. N\u00e9anmoins, la pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente g\u00e9n\u00e9ration en socket LGA-1700, Alder Lake, autorisait, de fait, l\u2019overclocking des puces non-K. Pendant le cycle de d\u00e9veloppement, Intel avait malencontreusement donn\u00e9 un micro-code aux OEM le permettant\u00a0; l\u2019entreprise n\u2019a pas fait cette bourde une deuxi\u00e8me fois.<\/p>\n\n\n

Pour Alder Lake, en d\u00e9pit de l\u2019opposition d\u2019Intel, qui avait bien s\u00fbr d\u00e9sactiv\u00e9 cette fonctionnalit\u00e9 dans les versions finales du micro-code, certains fabricants de cartes m\u00e8res ont continu\u00e9 de proposer des BIOS bas\u00e9s sur l\u2019ancien micro-code, lequel permettait donc d\u2019overlocker les processeurs non-K, y compris sur des cartes m\u00e8res B660.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paul Alcorn de Tom\u2019s Hardware US rapporte que cet overclocking n\u2019est, pour le moment, plus possible avec les Core de 13e g\u00e9n\u00e9ration. Comme le montrent les captures d\u2019\u00e9cran ci-dessous, avec le Core i7-12700, la carte m\u00e8re MSI B660M Mortar Max propose toujours le param\u00e8tre \u00ab\u00a0Non K OC\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0; cette option dispara\u00eet avec le Core i7-13700.<\/p>\n\n\n

Notre confr\u00e8re r\u00e9sume les choses simplement : avec Raptor Lake, Intel n\u2019a pas commis la m\u00eame erreur en publiant un micro-code d\u00e9verrouillant cette fonctionnalit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Si pour le moment, l’overclocking des Core de 13e g\u00e9n\u00e9ration non-K n’est pas permis, il n\u2019est pas exclu que les fabricants de cartes m\u00e8res finissent par trouver une parade. Outre Alder Lake, ils l\u2019avaient d\u00e9j\u00e0 fait pour Skylake en 2016. En outre, l\u2019imbroglio autour du support de l\u2019AVX-512<\/a>, qu\u2019Intel a finalement d\u00fb d\u00e9sactiver au niveau du silicium face \u00e0 la d\u00e9sob\u00e9issance des fabricants de cartes m\u00e8res, a montr\u00e9 que ces derniers exploiteraient la moindre de faille. Ainsi, l\u2019overclocking des processeurs Raptor Lake non-K finira peut-\u00eatre par revenir pas d’autres biais.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enfin, rappelons que chez AMD, l’entreprise autorise l\u2019overclocking de tous ses processeurs Ryzen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
