Apple va pr\u00e9senter sa nouvelle s\u00e9rie d\u2019iPhone 15<\/a> d\u2019ici quelques heures. Le lancement de ces smartphones sera concomitant de celui de l\u2019A17 Bionic, successeure de l\u2019A16 Bionic et premi\u00e8re puce de la marque \u00e0 la pomme grav\u00e9e en 3 nm<\/a> (l\u2019A16 Bionic l\u2019est en 4 nm). Voici un aper\u00e7u des promesses de cette nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de SoC<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

Avant tout, pr\u00e9cisons que l\u2019A17 Bionic n\u2019\u00e9quipera pas tous les iPhone 15<\/strong> : seuls les mod\u00e8les haut de gamme, autrement dit les versions Pro, b\u00e9n\u00e9ficieront de ce processeur. L\u2019Iphone 15 standard se contentera de l\u2019A16 Bionic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Du 4 au 3 nm : une efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique accrue<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Le principal changement, le plus \u00e9vident, est bien s\u00fbr l\u2019adoption d\u2019un nouveau processus de gravure, le 3 nm<\/strong>. Par rapport au N5 (le N4 est une version am\u00e9lior\u00e9e du N5, pas un v\u00e9ritable nouveau n\u0153ud de gravure), TSMC annonce une efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique am\u00e9lior\u00e9e de 30 % \u00e0 fr\u00e9quence identique, une hausse des performances de 15 % \u00e0 puissance identique, et une augmentation de la densit\u00e9 logique de 70 %. Des n\u0153uds de gravure encore plus aboutis comme le N3E am\u00e9liorent encore ces valeurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vous l\u2019aurez constat\u00e9, c\u2019est surtout sur le plan de l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique que le N3 peut consid\u00e9rablement changer la donne par rapport au N5<\/strong>. Or, c\u2019est un crit\u00e8re tr\u00e8s important pour un appareil mobile dont la consommation a une incidence directe sur l\u2019autonomie mais aussi sur les performances via l\u2019\u00e9tranglement thermique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Concernant le nombre de c\u0153urs, Apple n\u2019a rien laiss\u00e9 filtr\u00e9 pour le moment. Selon les derni\u00e8res rumeurs, l\u2019A17 Bionic conserve 6 c\u0153urs CPU<\/strong> (2 P-cores et 4 E-cores), mais gagne un c\u0153ur GPU afin d\u2019en avoir 6 \u00e9galement<\/strong>. Pour la partie CPU, l\u2019A17 aurait des fr\u00e9quences rehauss\u00e9es \u00e0 3,7 GHz pour les P-cores contre 3,46 GHz pour l\u2019A16. Au sujet du GPU, apr\u00e8s une tentative avort\u00e9e avec l\u2019A16 Bionic l\u2019ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, la prise en charge mat\u00e9rielle du ray tracing ferait son arriv\u00e9e cette ann\u00e9e<\/strong> (techno d\u00e9j\u00e0 support\u00e9 par les Snapdragon 8 Gen 2<\/a>, MediaTek Dimensity 9200<\/a> et Samsung Exynos 2200<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le point d\u2019interrogation (et de possible d\u00e9ception) a trait \u00e0 la RAM. Certaines sources \u00e9voquaient seulement 6 Go de LPPD5 pour les mod\u00e8les Pro ; d\u00e9sormais, la plupart tablent toutefois sur 8 Go<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
