L\u2019industrie du jeu vid\u00e9o est en \u00e9volution constante<\/strong>, les jeux sont plus beaux (en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral) mais aussi plus exigeants<\/strong>. C\u2019est pourquoi la technologie doit suivre le mouvement afin de fournir au joueur la meilleure exp\u00e9rience possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C\u2019est le cas de FreeSync<\/a>, la technologie de synchronisation adaptative d\u2019AMD. Introduite en 2015, elle permet de modifier de fa\u00e7on dynamique le taux de rafra\u00eechissement d\u2019un \u00e9cran en fonction du d\u00e9bit de la carte graphique. Apr\u00e8s s’\u00eatre divis\u00e9e en trois labels diff\u00e9rents<\/a> (\u201cnormal\u201d, Premium et Premium Pro), la technologie revoit ses exigences \u00e0 la hausse.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

En effet, dans un article provenant du site officiel d\u2019AMD, l\u2019entreprise confirme cette mise \u00e0 jour<\/strong> (en vigueur depuis septembre 2023), notamment en ce qui concerne les taux de rafra\u00eechissement<\/strong> maximum des \u00e9crans gamer<\/a>. De plus, la firme \u00e9voque \u00e9galement les sp\u00e9cifications HDR pour certains \u00e9crans.<\/p>\n\n\n

Le but de cette hausse serait, selon AMD, de garantir une exp\u00e9rience optimale<\/strong> pour les joueurs. Encore d\u2019apr\u00e8s l\u2019entreprise, depuis l’arriv\u00e9e de FreeSync, les jeux sont effectivement devenus bien plus exigeants.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les cartes graphiques sont \u00e9galement devenues plus puissantes<\/strong>, et de nouveaux affichages offrant une d\u00e9finition et des taux de rafra\u00eechissement plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s sont d\u00e9sormais courants. C\u2019est pourquoi la technologie FreeSync se devait d\u2019\u00e9voluer<\/strong> elle aussi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Si les moniteurs et les t\u00e9l\u00e9viseurs sont touch\u00e9s<\/strong> par cette mise \u00e0 jour, AMD ne modifie pas les sp\u00e9cifications de FreeSync concernant les \u00e9crans d\u2019ordinateurs portables<\/a>. En ce qui concerne les \u00e9crans utilisant une d\u00e9finition de 1080p<\/strong> (<3440 dans le tableau), les sp\u00e9cifications de FreeSync \u201cnormal\u201d sont d\u00e9sormais de<\/strong> 144 Hz<\/strong>. Pour ce type de moniteur, il n’existait auparavant aucune exigence de la part de la technologie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En ce qui concerne la version Premium, les \u00e9crans affichant une d\u00e9finition inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 3440 pixels<\/strong> de large doivent offrir au minimum un taux de 200 Hz<\/strong>. Pour les moniteurs allant au-del\u00e0 de 3440 (la plupart des \u00e9crans 4K), le rafra\u00eechissement minimal sera de 120 Hz. Enfin, FreeSync Premium Pro a les m\u00eames exigences que la version Premium si ce n\u2019est qu\u2019elle est pens\u00e9e pour un affichage en HDR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
