Les utilisateurs de processeurs AMD Ryzen n’auront finalement pas besoin d’attendre la version 24H2 de Windows 11<\/a> pour profiter d’am\u00e9liorations significatives des performances<\/strong> de leur processeur<\/a> Zen 3, Zen 4 ou Zen 5. Microsoft et AMD ont d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de porter ces optimisations dans Windows 11 23H2<\/strong>, via un patch optionnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Des optimisations sp\u00e9cifiques aux processeurs Ryzen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Int\u00e9gr\u00e9e aux processeurs depuis des d\u00e9cennies, la pr\u00e9diction de branchement permet d’anticiper le flux d’instructions \u00e0 ex\u00e9cuter<\/strong>. En am\u00e9liorant la pr\u00e9cision de cette pr\u00e9diction, comme c’est le cas sur l’architecture Zen 5<\/a> des Ryzen 9000 Series, il est possible d’augmenter les performances du processeur<\/strong> en minimisant les temps d’attente et en maximisant l’utilisation des ressources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La sortie de la derni\u00e8re gamme de processeurs AMD Ryzen 9000 Series<\/a> a toutefois \u00e9t\u00e9 marqu\u00e9e par certaines controverses<\/strong>, notamment en raison de performances insatisfaisantes<\/strong> comme nous avons pu le constater dans notre test du Ryzen 9 9950X<\/a>. Pour r\u00e9soudre ce probl\u00e8me, le constructeur et Microsoft ont am\u00e9lior\u00e9 la prise en charge de la pr\u00e9diction de branchement<\/strong> dans la derni\u00e8re version Preview de Windows 11 24H2. Les diff\u00e9rents tests r\u00e9alis\u00e9s ont alors montr\u00e9 des gains de performance<\/strong> allant jusqu’\u00e0 11 % dans certains cas, m\u00eame si les r\u00e9sultats peuvent varier selon les applications et les configurations mat\u00e9rielles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La mise \u00e0 jour KB5041587 apporte ces m\u00eames optimisations \u00e0 Windows 11 23H2<\/strong> ; les processeurs Ryzen devraient ainsi profiter de gains de performance similaires \u00e0 ceux observ\u00e9s dans Windows 11 24H2. Cela pourrait redonner un coup de pouce aux processeurs AMD -en particulier ceux bas\u00e9s sur les architectures Zen 3, Zen 4 et Zen 5<\/strong>, soit les Ryzen 5000, 7000 et 9000 Series- dans les jeux et avec certaines charges de travail bureautiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Optionnelle, cette mise \u00e0 jour est toutefois encore en version Preview<\/em>, ce qui signifie qu’elle peut comporter des risques plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s d’instabilit\u00e9 ou de dysfonctionnement<\/strong>.
