Qualcomm est l’une des marques puces les plus utilis\u00e9es dans les appareils Android. R\u00e9cemment, une vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 de type \u00ab zero-day \u00bb a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9couverte dans cette puce, qui est en fait une faille de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et peut causer des dommages avant m\u00eame que le fabricant ne puisse envoyer une mise \u00e0 jour corrective. Comme il n’existe pas de correctif imm\u00e9diat, les utilisateurs et les appareils sont dans une position assez d\u00e9licate jusqu’\u00e0 ce que le probl\u00e8me soit r\u00e9solu. Il est en effet \u00e0 craindre que des pirates exploitent les appareils dont la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 est compromise. Le souci, en plus de \u00e7a, c’est que 64 mod\u00e8les de puces sont victimes de cette faille, autrement dit des dizaines de millions de smartphones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Une faille majeure pour Qualcomm<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

La vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 \u00ab zero-day \u00bb, \u00e9galement appel\u00e9e CVE-2024-43047, est soup\u00e7onn\u00e9e d’\u00eatre une vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 de corruption d\u00e9couverte dans un composant du chipset de Qualcomm, qui peut donner aux attaquants le contr\u00f4le d’un appareil en ex\u00e9cutant un code n\u00e9faste pour ce dernier. Les d\u00e9tails exacts n’ont pas \u00e9t\u00e9 communiqu\u00e9s afin d’\u00e9viter toute exploitation ult\u00e9rieure par des personnes malveillantes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le groupe d’analyse des menaces de Google, ainsi que le laboratoire de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 d’Amnesty International, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 en mesure de d\u00e9tecter le test de la vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 zero-day. Les attaquants se seraient concentr\u00e9s sur des personnes sp\u00e9cifiques plut\u00f4t que sur une exploitation globale. Le peu d’informations disponibles \u00e0 ce sujet ajoute \u00e0 la gravit\u00e9 de la situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Des puces haut de gamme touch\u00e9es<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Qualcomm a confirm\u00e9 qu’environ 64 mod\u00e8les de puces, y compris des SoC tels que Snapdragon 8 Gen 1<\/a> et Snapdragon 888+, en plus des puces de milieu de gamme, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 affect\u00e9s. Le probl\u00e8me a \u00e9galement touch\u00e9 les modules de connectivit\u00e9 FastConnect et diff\u00e9rents modems, ce qui montre que le probl\u00e8me s’\u00e9tend \u00e0 divers appareils Android.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De nombreux fabricants de smartphones utilisent les puces touch\u00e9es par cette faille, notamment Samsung, OnePlus et Motorola, et le modem Snapdragon X55 5G peut m\u00eame \u00eatre trouv\u00e9 dans le mod\u00e8le iPhone 12. Il est encore difficile de savoir si les utilisateurs d’iPhone ont \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 expos\u00e9s \u00e0 la vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9, mais \u00e9tant donn\u00e9 que les appareils Android d\u00e9pendent largement de puces Qualcomm, m\u00eame si MediaTek commence \u00e0 prendre de l’importance<\/a>, ce sont les smartphones Android qui sont vis\u00e9s. Il est toutefois possible que les iPhone \u00e9quip\u00e9s de modems Qualcomm soient \u00e9galement expos\u00e9s au risque d’exploitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qualcomm a d\u00e9j\u00e0 publi\u00e9 un correctif pour les \u00e9quipementiers afin de rem\u00e9dier \u00e0 la vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 et a demand\u00e9 aux fabricants de smartphones de proc\u00e9der rapidement \u00e0 la mise \u00e0 jour afin d’\u00e9viter d’autres dommages.
